We have received information from Redmond that they have expanded their hours to 2:00 to 8:00 due to heavy response. If you would like to schedule please call 706-802-3000.

Here is the information from our recent communication with members:

Administered by Redmond Occupational Health, AngioScreens® are being offered to the general public by appointment on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 3-7pm at the Chattooga Chamber / Civic Center in Redmond’s Scan Van. The event is being hosted locally by the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce and the Summerville-Trion Optimist Club.

AngioScreens® are NOT covered by insurance, but Redmond is able to provide the screening at a cost of only $80, a significant savings to you. If these screenings were done separately at a hospital, the cost could run several thousand dollars.  Payments types accepted are Cash, Check, Credit, Debit and Tax saver/Flex spending cards. Tax Saver/Flex spending receipts will be provided.

To schedule your appointment, please call Redmond Occupational Health central scheduling at 706-802-3000.  For information on the process see below:

AngioScreen® is a revolutionary vascular health screening that will provide you with information about your circulation and your risk of heart disease and stroke.   There are no needles, no dye, no radiation, and no fasting required. In only 6-10 minutes, this painless screening will include: a stroke screening/carotid artery ultrasound; an EKG of the heart which detects atrial fib; a Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) screening for plaque or blockages in leg arteries; and a screening for an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).  AAA’s have no symptoms, but are often fatal if they rupture. You will receive immediate results, a 2-3 minute interpretative consultation, photos of your carotid arteries, a letter to your physician with an electronic records CD, and a personal report for you on your heart rhythm, neck and leg arteries, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) ultrasound.
